Welcome to YOUR HOUSE !

You have found the Kendig Remodeling & Construction site ...
(Licensed & insured  remodeling contractors ready to go to work for you ! )

Welcome neighbor !   We are KRC, a small family-owned (competitive priced) Contracting service with low overhead and minimal expense (Less reason to sap your construction budget). We understand how expensive the business is. We are experts in finding the least expensive method to get the same result from dedicated people who do not need an overpriced bottom line!   ...and we do not "retail" materials. We are as "fed-up" with the bad reputation in this industry as most potential clients become when searching for competent service and reasonable pricing.  You have found us. We ARE the answer!
We provide a full range and scope of construction services in both residential and commercial applications:  Room Additions, Remodeling, New Construction and Upgrades. These services are ALL GUARANTEED IN WRITING and all services are fully documented. We are licensed and Insured and have a combined level of experience in excess of 75 years in four states. Currently operating in Indiana since 2003.

     FROM THE CEO:

My name is Kendig. I am the CEO at KRC and my family heritage is rooted in Lancaster County, PA and Ohio (Otherwise known as "Amish Country"). We are all aware of the famed quality of the Amish and the simplicity with which much more can be done with far less expense and the ethic of a decent days work and a fair wage.  No, I am not Amish, but, I do admire the philosophy that there is beauty in simplicity and more value in your craft than in your credit limit.

Here you will find a list of services, some example photographs from some happy campers, and a few ideas about planning and design. The best advice I can give you is to "DO THE RESEARCH". Do not settle for anything less than a licensed and insured Contractor (no matter who you choose to have do the work). This industry is exploited by scammers and half-wit "hacks" that will turn your project into a mess if given the reponsibility without the expertiese or even an intention to complete the project.
You should discuss a schedule, a guarantee, contingency plans, and the potential issues of discovery when tearing into any project. (Experience rules!). We have corrected or repaired hundreds of poorly constructed or dangerous messes left behind by many "do-it-yourselfers" and "self-proclaimed" carpenters simply out to earn a quick buck. Many times it is a homeowner or a relative left to his own devices because the cost was too much to burden.  We seek to do away with this presumption.  Your project is NOT too small to justify having it done right, nor is it so outrageous that the pricing should be expected to cripple your ability to get it done properly or at all.  We save our clients hundreds and thousands of dollars on every project.  More often than not, we outbid our competition when we do not need to. (Just to keep them honest) <Smile>

We do not simply build things to earn a living. We actually do "LOVE" what we do. We value our repeat clients because they are a testament to our level of quality and service. We treat all our clients as friends and neighbors and in many cases, they are exactly that.  We seek to find the lowest cost for materials, method and billing in every case and in some special cases, we can provide services at no additional expense, simply because your business is worth the extra effort. (We DO NOT look for every little reason we can find to tack on another dollar).  Our pricing is more than competitive and standardized, (not randomized). repeat clients get discounts and referrals get additional discounts. We do not employ the "good ol' boy" pricing schemes many of our competitors do for larger or smaller jobs and scheduling is a matter of balancing risk assessments with priority, not risking reputation because we have no priorities.  Repeat KRC clients are always first priority. Among them are scheduling issues based on potential risks, such as leaks, damages, added expense, or loss.  A leaking roof comes before a mailbox post.  New KRC clients are first come first serve unless the risk assessment demands immediate action. Risk of personal injury and the like...    We are not indifferent to people and family or the "Human" element with whom we deal with most.   After all...   if you cant call it "Home" we are out of a job...

   ...our job?

...and what about the "end" of the job?     Any of your other prospective Contractors promising you that your jobsite will be cleaned up on a dialy basis?  We do.  Any of your prospective contractors checking back with you in a few days to make sure nothing was missed or needing additional services?  We do.    Any of my competitors offering you 10% off the same work next week just for calling him back?   I do.    And how many times will you collect an additional 10% off any work for just mentioning my name to your friends and neighbors?  Once?  Twice?    (Believe it or not, that is what keeps me in business friend)

I dont advertise.  If you get KRC to do the job, it is because you knew somebody or went looking for me.  Advertising is expensive. It would force me to charge you more. I dont want to do that. Your endorsement is the most valuable advertisement I could buy!  We will earn it.      See you soon...                    -Doug Kendig (CEO@KRC)

Things you should know before signing any service contract:  Are you getting what you pay for? Let the buyer beware! READ THE FINE PRINT! (ALWAYS) Many will offer much, but few will deliver beyond the legal bottom line (The one you signed)

...This man asked for a porch. we built him one. Then he asked for new steps. He got those too. Then he decided new windows and doors... no problem.  With all that, guess who he called to do the siding?   (I can tell you the siding job only cost him $2800)
